Interview with Brittani Louise Taylor from YouTube

Brittani Louise Taylor is a comedian/actress from Sedona, AZ (living in LA). She makes amazing YouTube videos so if you haven’t you should totally check her out.

She agreed to answer a few questions so here it is, the interview.

• What made you want to make YouTube videos?

I was hired to make videos with an independent studio called “Operator 11″ and when they shut down; I didn’t really know what to do.  I was already doing all my own writing/editing/directing and my mom suggested making a fresh start on YouTube!

• Haha nice, how would you describe your first character, Rhonda Anthony tanner?

She is like a child; she sees the world differently and is passionate about life!

A clueless life coach for sure! :)

• What exactly is your roll in the Fiesta Movement?

Basically I submitted a video wanting to be one of their hundred agents, and I was chosen!  Each month I get to go on a mission for 6 months, plus some bonus missions.  I have had the time of my life, and I love the car!  This is my six month! :(

• Hah aw, are you currently working with something Film-making related besides YouTube?

Well, I am in-between agents, and have always had crappy ones.  I was auditioning a lot before YouTube, but I realized something.  I can either go and audition and get parts for poorly written projects hoping to get to play some good roles, or I can cast myself, get my friend Joe to film, and put it out there for you guys!  I think the next step is taking one of the projects we make and trying to get it into festivals, so that is a future goal of mine!

• Good. So, what would you say are some things you have accomplished by making YouTube videos (or through YouTube?)

Well for one, when I talk to producers/agents/other actors and they ask “so what have you been in lately” I actually have something to talk about!!  People in the entertainment industry respect you more when you have your own success!  Also, I have got considered for major roles in indepent films and pilots just from the creators seeing my YouTube videos!  Pretty cool! :)

• Yeah it sounds cool. :D. So, Was Picking up ALL TIME LOW at the airport a Fiesta mission?

YES!!!  I now have a crush on every one of those guys thanks to Ford!  They are talented, nice, funny, etc and deserve all the success they are having!

• Ahah I’m sure they do! Which has been your favorite mission so far?

My favorite has to be “Tag my house” Did you see what Ray Young Chu drew for me?  I look at it every day and feel so lucky because I couldn’t have afforded for him to draw me something that cool, or that big, for my wall! :)

Ug wait I loved the Animal House mission too, wait and the Gone in 60 Seconds, shucks I haven’t had a mission I haven’t loved! :)

• Haha that’s great. Do you have a favorite youtuber?

Favorite youtuber? Probably WhatTheBuck!  He is the nicest guy, talented, and his energy is just contagious!

• Any inspiration?

Honestly I am pretty religious, I love God, and I hike a lot.  I don’t get my best ideas in front of a computer screen, usually I will be outside on a hill and an idea will pop in and then I spend a 1/2 hour madly texting it to myself LOL!

I write whole scripts while I am hiking!

• Hahaha. If you could meet someone from YouTube (on real life, of course) who would it be (besides What the Buck ;)

Well I meet up with Jkimisyellow, so I would say him, hmmm, probably venetianprincess.  Another madly talented youtuber, her editing is sick! :)

• 5 top things you stand for?

That I believe in?  Morals, Kindness, Passion, Drive, Persistence, and Hope! :)  Wait that is 6, oh well this is my interview Haha j/k

• Haha ;) Have you ever been recognized?

Yeah, more recently!  It is really cool because they feel like they are my friend just from watching my videos.  I am glad that they feel comfortable enough to come up to me and give me a hug and chat! :)

• Did you always know you wanted to do something Film-production related?

I have wanted to be an actress since before I even knew what that was.  My brother used to be my host and introduce me to crowds of people when we went out, “Here’s Brittani” and then I would sing and dance (poorly) and they would give me money LOL!

As for film production, I like producing my own projects, but honestly my dreams are in front of the camera not behind it.

• Are you a girly girl?

Yes and no!  I love to get dressed up, but I am also very athletic and I love most guy things (video games, theme parks)!   Probably why most of my friends are guys! :)

• If you couldn’t act or film, what would you do for a living?

LOL this may sound silly, but that isn’t an option for me.  Asking me not to Act is like asking me not to breathe, I will never be happy otherwise! :)

I would rather spend my whole life in pursuit of a dream then get a safe job I hate!

• Nice :) What’s your favorite video that you’ve done so far?

Probably my “Miley Cyrus” video because it wasn’t about me.  My dad is fighting cancer, and I wanted to make a video with a message of hope.

• Any last thing you want to mention?

Yeah, one I adore every single one of my followers on YouTube, you guys have changed my life, and two find out what you love and then figure out how to make money at it! LOL
